Education Project:
EDENDALE ISLAMIC SCHOOL
R 75 000 for restoration of abandoned and dilapidated school premises

Established in 2000,the school grew rapidly resulting in it having to move to new premises. The Department of Education offered the school premises in the township of Edendale in Pietermaritzburg which had been vandalized to the point where the premises were no longer being used.

Today with the assistance of the Iqraa Trust the school has been completely renovated and now provides much needed quality education to135 majority Black disadvantaged learners who are also provided with uniforms and books. The school also provides training for adult women from the community.
